I happen to search possessor guide for a friend the other day and found out there was none properly done (one had only pictures but no explanation) so I decided to make one! If there's any questions about certain possing spots, how to poss in certain areas or how to poss on certain class you can leave questions to this thread :3

What is Possessor?

Possessor is an item in Eso that kills monsters for you after its set up correctly. This method of grinding is majority of the experience gaining you have to do in Eso so it is very important to know how to set up a possessor correctly. Possessors last for certain time durations and you can obtain possessors from many places all around eso. Such as quests, npcs, cash shop, dungeon, lotto boxes etc.

What is Jadeon and how is it related to Possessor?

Jadeon is very important part of Possessor in case you want to have drops from the monsters Possessor kills for you. Jadeon is so called ''item picker'' that you insert into your possessor before starting to ''poss'' a.k.a. starting to use your possessor. Jadeon usually comes in a packeage with an Possessor but not in all cases. It's recommended to buy same time period Jadeon as your Possessor is because if you have 1 day Jadeon and 3 day lasting Possessor you wont gain any items from using Possessor after the 1 day Jadeon expires.

Possessor basics

1.1 - Health and Mana potion slots. Drag your potions to the slots. You can also use HP/Mana capsules on the slots. Possessor should refill the slot with any HP/Mana potions you have in your bag when the old ones run out. Although be careful with capsules it's not always working correctly.

1.2 - Jadeon slot. Insert Jadeon before pressing start on your Possessor. Remember to do Jadeon settings under Possessor settings (look at number 2.3 and 2.4)

1.3 - Recovery skill slot. This slot is meant for using an skill that might save your life when your Health runs too low. You can set this option into any percent of your HP you want this skill to be casted at. For example mystics can use heal in this slot after HP runs lower then 60%. This slot skill might not always cast as fast as it should so it is even optional if you use it or not. I have had times when my HP goes way under the set percent of my HP yet the skill just wont cast. But it might be a life saver when other skills fail to help your fast dropping HP. You set the percet option under settings (look at number 2.2)

1.4 - Pet HP and Food. You can insert here pet Health potions such as Beans (what ever you can buy from Pet food NPC or make with Petcraft) or even Fraggen Berries. Pets use belly to cast skill and they need food when their belly rumbles! You can put on this slot any suitable pet food items. A lot of monsters drop random items that can be fed for pets also. If you want to feed these items to your pet you can tick an options called ''Auto-feed dropped snacks'' and ''Gluttony'' in your possessor settings. (Check part 2.7 about gluttony and auto feeding monster snacks)

1.5 - Detailed settings button. Press it to access more detailed settings. It is recommended to do these settings suitable for your class and depending on where you are possing. Default settings are not so good for everyone and everywhere to be used.

1.6 - Start button. After you have set everything on both normal settings and detailed settings you are ready to press this button and enjoy watching your character poss! (but do not do it yet and continue reading! : D)

1.7 - Skill slots. There are total 6 of the skill slots and here you will insert all skills you want to use while possessing. Remember to do detailed settings for their timer too ,because then possessor casts them easier and faster.

1.8 - Close and Minimize buttons. You can close possessor anytime by simply pressing X or pressing Start button (the human figure turns blue when possessor is not active). Or you can minimize possessor if its on the way by pressing the square button. Possessor will stay as minimized on the right bottom corner just above the Heaven Resposity button. Double click the icon to open your possessor again for its full size.

Detailed Possessor settings

2.1 - These settings are for the HP potion, Mana potion, Pet HP and Food settings. Enter values on the first slot when you want to consume the potions. I have very often set my HP potion usage when my Health goes low as 60% and Mana 80%. Try to find a balance on your HP and Mana consume because if both of them are very high or very low it might mess up the possessor using onlyone of the potions. In this case you might go dangerously low on HP or Mana while possing. Takes a while to test which consume percent is the best. For the usage timer I usually use 0.5 or 1 second. I have noticed it is working best for me.

2.2 - These 6 slots represet then previous possessor skill slots. Each skill have their own timer when the skill will be used at. Mainly I put almost spamable skills on 0-5 seconds so it rotates the skill usage nicely. It is hard to say how many seconds buffs should be cause if its too short timer it will spam buffing constantly and with too long timer it will not buff u at all for some odd reason. I find nice balance between 50-100 seconds usually for buffing and it seems to work for me.

2.3 - Pick up option. There's three different ways to use your Jadeon to pick up things. Collect all what it says, it will collect everything monsters drop! It is not recommended for long periods of possing unless you have a lot and I mean A LOT of bag space. Might be nice in some Dungeons though. Filter option will NOT pick up the items you list to the box on right side (look at 2.4) but will pick up everything else. Pick up specific is maybe the most popular way to use Jadeon it will pick up only items on the list you have made on the right side box (look at 2.4).

2.4 - Keywords is used to specify item names when you use Filter or Specific pick on Jadeon. Write name of an item to the slot and press Add. You can also Delete names from the list by pressing that button next to Add. You can use www.esodb.ru to find items correctly spelled names because if you do spelling mistakes it might not work. Although, you don't have to write the item whole name but you can use parts of the name. Remember that all items with same name will be picked up for example if you use word ''Dragon'' to pick up Ethrelic of Dragon Blood it will also pick up Dragon Slayer Essense Debris, Jade of Dragon, Dragon God's Fang, Jade of Dragon Blood, [75]Dragonair Plate Recipe etc.

2.5 - Attack settings are used to specify what you want possessor to attack was it normal monsters, boss monsters or quest monsters only. All can be done from here by ticking all the monsters you want to hit. Auto-target its good to keep on in everyday basic possing.

2.6 Move radius tells your possessor how far you want your character to be able to run before it turns back and returns its original position where possessor was started at. It is good to keep this on in a range is nice for your character. I'd recommend something between 3-15 meters. Some maps (such as Pit of champions) require this setting off when picking items or possessor gets stuck. So if you sometime notice your character is not attacking or picking anything but seem to be stuck try untick move radius off and see if things start working again.

2.7 - These settings are not very common to be touched to but might be helpful in some situations. Anti-bot question does not work so do not care about it. Auto-feed dropped snacks is useful when you are picking up pet food from monsters and want to feed it to your pet. Gluttony will do basically same thing as Auto-feed but eats only when there is large amount of items in your bag.

Default and Save buttons. Remember always press Save before leaving the detailed settings so they will be in use. By pressing Default it will reset all the skills to their original Eso settings which you will have when you use possessor for the first time.

I never thought I'd see such a detailed poss/jade guide. This is pretty nice..

In 2.4 I know you explained in detail on how to add items without mistakes and even gave examples. I would suggest adding that the item's first letter always has to be captilized. Someone might not take lower case as a mistake, and I've done it many times rushing then wonder why the item never gets picked up.

In 2.4 I know you ex ...

Yes that's a good point

and for mister mario64 have you not ever heard of ANYONE asking about possessor and how it works? I have thousand times. I remember it took me over 2 weeks to figure it out also in closed beta official. It is not as simple as us old users think, it looks very confusing for newbies, especially for those who never faced a exp bot like possessor. I came from ragnarok where u do all by hand I had no slightest idea about this luxury and when I first got one I did my setting all wrong and kept dying on poss, didnt cast skills, moved too far and got stuck...
